The Mohr MSR Oil Water Separator is designed to receive oily water by gravity flow, and process it on a once-through basis. The oil in this mixture is usually in the form of various sized droplets. As the oily water passes through the spaces between the plates, the oil droplets will rise due to their buoyancy and impinge onto the underside of the plates, effectively collecting it onto its surface. As more and more droplets are captured, they coalesce into larger droplets, rising upwards through the oil ports of the plates, and form an oil film on the surface of the water.
Mohr Separations Research
Mohr Separations Research (MSR) Coalescing Plate Module Oil Water Separator systems are designed as a passive gravity-flow system to separate oil from water. Utilizing the differences in specific gravities between oil and water, the Mohr MSR Oil Water Separator system effectively and efficiently enhances separation by the use of the MSR “arc” coalescing plates.
